The story
Forty-five
years of
not stopping
Lost Generation started in Connecticut in 1981, back when there was no Connecticut hardcore scene to be part of. Joe Dias put the band together and they became one of the reasons the scene existed at all.
The 1982 debut, "Never Work," went out on Incas Records and ended the year in The Village Voice's top five singles. They opened for Public Image Ltd at Toad's Place. H.R. of Bad Brains turned up on their next release. They anchored "Connecticut Fun," the compilation that put the whole Anthrax club scene on record.
Then a long quiet. The records kept trading hands. In 2025 they walked back onto the stage at Cafe Nine in New Haven and opened with "It's been a long time." In 2026 they release "Cursed," the first new full-length in over thirty years.
Forty-five years in. Still Connecticut. Still loud.
